Bangladesh Records Nine New Dengue Deaths

Fatalities Reach 1,661 in Ongoing Dengue Outbreak


Over the last 24 hours, nine people lost their lives due to dengue, and 459 individuals were hospitalized.

 

As of Sunday, the total number of deaths from dengue this year has reached 1,661, according to a press release from the Directorate General of Health Services.

 

At present, 2,291 individuals diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are undergoing treatment at various government and private hospitals both within and outside the capital city of Dhaka.

 

Among them, 580 individuals are receiving treatment in facilities within the capital, while 1,711 are undergoing treatment in other divisions.

 

Since January 1 this year, a total of 317,232 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals across the country.

 

Out of the hospitalized patients, a significant number, specifically 313,280, have successfully recovered during this period.
