Son Bids 'Goodbye to Daddy' Before Tragedy

Texas woman records poignant moment before tragic incident unfolds.

In a heartbreaking incident reported by The New York Post, Savannah Kriger, a 32-year-old woman from Texas, tragically filmed her 3-year-old son saying goodbye to his father just moments before she fatally shot the child and then herself. The incident occurred on March 19 in a San Antonio park. Both Savannah and her son, Kaiden, were found deceased with gunshot wounds to their heads.

Authorities have been investigating the circumstances of a murder-suicide for several weeks. Before the incident, Kriger displayed alarming behavior, including shooting at her wedding photos, vandalizing her ex-husband's home, and sending him threatening videos and texts via Face Time.

According to The NY Post, the series of events unfolded when Kriger left her workplace on the afternoon of March 18 and headed straight to her ex-husband's residence while he was at work. After causing damage there, she returned to her own home, where investigators discovered her wedding attire and portraits arranged on the bed. Sheriff Javier Salazar of the Bexar County Sheriff's Office stated that it is believed Kriger discharged two rounds into her wedding portraits.

During one Face Time call, Kriger ominously told her ex-husband, "You don't have anything to go home to now. You really don't," and warned, "You won't have anything at all at the end of the day."

In her final text to her ex-husband, Kriger chillingly wrote, "Say goodbye to your son."

A 21-second video retrieved from her phone depicted Kriger and her son sitting in the ditch at the park, the same location where their bodies were later found.
