On Sunday midnight, The Congress party office in UP's Amethi was attacked by some unidentified attackers.

The miscreants vandalized several vehicles parked outside and fled after creating Chaos, triggering a protest by party workers.

Following the incident, Congress District President Pradeep Singal rushed to the party office.

A heavy police force with CO City Mayank Dwivedi reached the location after the incident and tried to neutralize the protesting party workers.

CO Dwivedi has said that the matter will be investigated and action will be taken against those responsible for the incident.

Heavy police force has been deployed at the incident site.

Taking to social media, Congress shared a video that showed car windows smashed and glass pieces lying scattered.

The party blamed the BJP for starting violence, fearing defeat in Amethi. They also mentioned Smriti Irani, BJP's Lok Sabha Amethi candidate.

"Frustrated by the defeat they saw, BJP goons armed with sticks and rods reached outside the Congress office in Amethi and vandalized vehicles parked there. There has been a deadly attack on Congress workers and the people of Amethi.

Many people were badly injured in this attack. During the incident, the vehicles of local people were also damaged.

The police administration remained mute during the entire incident. This incident is a witness that BJP is going to lose badly in Amethi," Congress's tweet, translated from Hindi, read.
