On Wednesday, 03 April 2024, AAP Minister and leader Atishi Said, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal lost 4.5 kg since he was arrested on March 21.
Authorities in Tihar jail have said he is fine, and he has not lost weight since he was lodged in the jail two days back.
In a post on X this morning, Ms. Atishi said Mr. Kejriwal is a "diabetic". "Despite his health problems, he works only to serve the nation.
Between his arrest and now, Arvind Kejriwal has lost 4.5 kg. This is stressful. The BJP is putting his health in danger. If something happens to Arvind Kejriwal, not just the country, even God won't forgive them," she said.
The Delhi Chief Minister, arrested by the ED in a money laundering case linked to the liquor policy, was shifted to Tihar jail on Monday after he was remanded in judicial custody till April 15.
According to sources in the high-security prison, his weight was 65 kg when he was brought there. His weight, they said, remains unchanged. And his blood sugar levels are also normal now. They said he did yoga and meditation this morning and did walking in his cell.
Mr. Kejriwal has been lodged in a 14X8 feet cell in jail number 2 of Tihar jail. According to reports, his blood sugar level has fluctuated over the past few days and dropped below 50 at one point.
