In New Delhi, a 15-year-old girl was arrested by the Delhi Police on Sunday. She is accused of fatally stabbing a neighbor during a dispute over water from a shared tap in the Farsh Bazar area, according to a police officer.

Authorities reported that the victim, a 34-year-old woman, sustained multiple cuts on her left hand and a stab wound to the stomach during the altercation.

Police stated that on Friday at 10:59 pm, they received a PCR call reporting a stabbing incident. The caller informed them that his wife had been stabbed in the stomach and urgently required medical assistance.

"Responding to the call, the police team arrived at the scene, located at Gali no 2, Bhikam Singh Colony, and discovered Soni injured in her room," stated Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Surendra Choudhary. "She had two to three cut marks on her left hand and a small wound on her stomach."

Soni was swiftly transported to Hedgewar Hospital, where doctors declared her dead upon arrival.

During the investigation, it emerged that Soni and her husband Satbir had engaged in a dispute with their neighbors.

According to the officer, around 7:30 pm, Soni had a confrontation with her neighbor's wife and daughter regarding water usage from a shared tap on the first floor of their residence.

"Following this, the girl and her mother returned home and confronted Soni and her husband Satbir once again," stated the DCP. "During this second altercation, the girl stabbed Soni," he added.
